VIDEO: Ricketts Pushes Norfolk Southern, EPA for Lessons Learned from East Palestine Train Derailment

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) pushed the leadership of Norfolk Southern and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for lessons learned in the wake of the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine, OH.
“Nebraskans are praying for the people of East Palestine and we’re praying for a good outcome in regard to the cleanup,” said Senator Ricketts at the hearing. “Americans deserve timely and helpful updates when it comes to an environmental catastrophe… Americans should be confident when they return to their homes that they are safe to return.”
Senator Ricketts comments came during questioning of Alan Shaw, President and CEO of Norfolk Southern Corporation, and Debra Shore, Regional Administrator of the EPA.
