VIDEO: Ricketts on Fox Business: “Dictators and Terrorists Know There’s Gonna Be A New Sheriff In Town”

OMAHA, NE – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE), a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, joined Fox Business just before Prime Minister Netanyahu’s address to call out the Biden administration’s approach to the Middle East and its impact on Israel’s security. Ricketts criticized President Biden’s foreign policy, arguing that it has emboldened Iran and its proxies, like Hezbollah and Hamas.
He also emphasized that strong leadership, like that of President-elect Trump, would restore respect and security in the region.
“Joe Biden was a weak president,” Ricketts said. “His appeasement-first policy – allowing Iran to have hundreds of million dollars in oil money so they could fund their proxies like Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis – is why we have all this trouble in the Middle East right now. Hezbollah has been attacking Israel, but it started with the attack from Hamas in Gaza. That was, in my opinion, directly because of Iran funding them and Joe Biden’s weakness.”
“When you have a strong president like Donald Trump, people are afraid,” Ricketts continued. “Dictators, like we have in Iran, are afraid. And so, we’ll see a greater level respect, because it’s clear right now that nobody respects the United States around the world because Joe Biden’s appeasement-first policy just protects weakness. And I think you have 60 days before we get a new President who has said he is not going to hold back any weapons from Israel. I think that these dictators and these terrorists know there’s gonna be a new sheriff in town.”
