Ricketts Statement on POTUS’ Calls for a Ceasefire

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE), a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, released the following statement after President Biden called for a “pause” in the war between Israel and Hamas.

“Calling for a pause is another example of weak leadership from President Biden. Hamas has made their genocidal ambitions very clear. They won’t stop until Israel is annihilated. As Biden’s own State Department said last week, ‘any ceasefire would give Hamas the ability to rest, to refit, and to get ready to continue launching terrorist attacks against Israel.’ President Biden needs to reject the antisemitic radicals on the far-left. The best way to bring peace to Israelis and Palestinians alike is for terrorist groups like Hamas to be destroyed.
