Ricketts Statement on Independence Day

OMAHA, NE – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) issued the following statement in anticipation of Independence Day tomorrow:

“Two-hundred forty-eight years ago, our founders announced our independence from the tyranny of a king and changed the world. Our founding ideals – freedom, justice, and equality – make our country exceptional. In Nebraska, we know America is always worth celebrating. This Independence Day, we give thanks and recommit ourselves to the hard work of forming a more perfect Union.”
