Ricketts Statement on Death of Jimmy Carter
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) released the following statement on the death of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States:
“Jimmy Carter’s life was marked by faith, family, and service. He defended our country as a member of the U.S. Navy. He served as our 39th president. After leaving office, he faithfully taught Sunday school and advocated for human rights around the world. His 77-year marriage to Rosalynn Carter modeled love and dedication. Susanne and I send our condolences to the Carter family as they grieve.”
