Ricketts wants tax savings as part of debt ceiling deal

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As the debt ceiling is debated in Washington, 42 U.S. Senators, including Senator Pete Ricketts, they want to see tax savings as part of a debt ceiling deal.

In a state issued by his office, Ricketts said the opportunity to make a deal that ensures the nation doesn’t default on its debt while also saving taxpayers money is too important.

He said as Governor, Nebraskans expected me him respect their tax dollars and spend every cent as effectively and efficiently as possible. As their Senator, he’s committed to fighting for the same from federal spending.
