Ricketts and Bacon speak at Memorial Day Ceremony

Today is a day of remembrance for those who gave everything in service of our country, a wide variety of events held around the metro area honored fallen soldier’s gold star families who lost family members in service and all those who have fought to protect freedom. VFW post, 2503 held an event complete with an honor guard quilt of valor. Congressman Don Bacon and Pete Ricketts attended.

“What I see road our heartland, I see the spirit of those who gave their all who love their country, and has a spirit of putting our country first because that’s what it’s going to take to serve this great land.”

in addition to Bacon, Senator Pete Ricketts was a speaker this afternoon.
