Ricketts Statement on Bipartisan Viewing of Hamas Terror Attack Footage
November 28, 2023
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE), a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, released the following statement after viewing uncensored video footage of Hamas’ terror attack against Israel that killed at least 1,200 Israelis and 33 Americans:
“Words can only begin to describe just how horrific, ruthless, barbaric, and shockingly inhumane Hamas’ October 7th attack was. We saw uncensored footage from Hamas terrorists shooting unarmed civilians, dismembering soldiers, and bodies of murdered and burned children. We heard terrorists calling their parents to brag about the number of Israelis they murdered.
“I hope Israel is successful in bringing each of these terrorists to justice. They’ll be doing humanity a favor. We must support Israel’s efforts to destroy Hamas so October 7th never happens again.”
BACKGROUND
The bipartisan viewing of footage today was organized by U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Jacky Rosen (D-NV). The footage included body camera and dash camera footage from Hamas terrorists and Israeli first responders. The Senators also listened to audio of phone calls intercepted by Israeli intelligence.
