WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following his election in November, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) was sworn in yesterday to complete the remaining two years of his term as U.S. Senator for Nebraska.

“I am humbled by the responsibility of representing the great people of Nebraska in the U.S. Senate,”Ricketts said. “I am committed to continuing my work of bringing proven Nebraska solutions to Washington, making government work better, and keeping Americans safe.”

Ricketts was joined by his wife Susanne Shore and his father Joe Ricketts. Ricketts was appointed by Governor Jim Pillen to serve in the Senate following the departure of Senator Ben Sasse in 2023. Ricketts will now serve the final two years of that term. He will have to run for re-election in 2026 for a full six-year term.
