Senator Pete Ricketts slams Biden’s new amnesty plan for undocumented immigrants

NTV

LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska Senator Pete Ricketts has reacted toPresident Biden’s executive order granting amnesty to up to 550,000 undocumented immigrants.

U.S. SenatorPete Ricketts (R-Neb.) issued a statement on Tuesday opposing the order, saying:

Instead of addressing the catastrophe at our border, President Biden’s executive amnesty rewards illegal aliens who broke our laws and incentivizes others to do the same. His open borders policies have allowed in violent criminals and deadly drugs that continue to destroy families.

This catastrophe will continue until President Biden stops incentivizing illegal immigration.” – he concluded.

The statement comes after the Biden administration said it will implement a new policy to allow certain spouses of U.S. citizens who lack legal status to apply for permanent residency and, eventually, citizenship.

This decision is expected to be implemented in the coming months.
