June 27, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) celebrated one year of his office’s Senate Internship Program. Internships are available in Washington, D.C. and offices throughout Nebraska during the spring, summer, and fall semesters.

“Over the past year, our interns have had a front-row seat to the federal legislative process and helped our office serve Nebraskans,” said Senator Ricketts. “Internships can focus on Capitol Hill office operations, outreach throughout Nebraska, or press and communications. I encourage interested Nebraskans to apply to join us for a future internship.”

Ricketts’ office is currently accepting applications for Spring and Summer 2025. While preference is given to Nebraska residents, anyone with a high school diploma or equivalent from any state may apply. Applicants can find more information at ricketts.senate.gov/internships.

Ricketts also released a video outlining some of the experiences Washington, D.C. interns may receive.
